The plants are in Ø9 cm nursery pots and are approximately 10–25 cm tall. Homegrown strawberries are the sweetest thing the vegetable garden has to offer. They grow in the ground, but do just as well in a planter or pot on the balcony. Winter hardy, so they can stay outside all year round.

Characteristics

Botanical name: Fragaria vesca

Also known as: wild strawberry

Quantity: 6 plants

Pot size: Ø9 cm

Height at delivery: approx. 10–25 cm

Location: sun

Winter hardy: yes

Watering: keep the soil moist during the flowering period and while the fruit is growing for the best harvest

Beautiful in: the vegetable garden, a pot on the balcony or patio

Care

Place straw or a mat under the plants to keep the fruit clean and dry.
