Buy a Yucca at Olivera Garden

The Yucca elephantipes, also known as the giant yucca, comes from Central America and is one of the easiest large houseplants. Its graphic shape with a trunk and leaf rosettes fits beautifully in a modern, industrial or Mediterranean interior.

Single trunk or branched

A Yucca with a single trunk is sleek and slender. Branched specimens and plants with multiple trunks of different heights are fuller and more playful.

Indoors or outdoors?

The Yucca elephantipes is a houseplant. If you are looking for a hardy yucca for the garden, such as the Yucca rostrata, take a look at our Mediterranean Yuccas.

Caring for a Yucca

The Yucca wants as much light as possible, including direct sunlight. In the summer, it can be placed outside in a warm, sunny spot.

Little water

Water when the soil is almost completely dry: once every one to two weeks in the summer, and much less in the winter. Too much water causes yellow leaves and a soft trunk.

Combining

The Yucca is one of our easy houseplants. Combine it with a rubber plant for a sunny corner or choose a large Yucca from our large plants.
