Tulip (Tulipa praestans) mix blooms in mixed colours from March through April. With 50 bulbs in this pack, you can fill a group of approximately 70 × 70 cm. Tulips are the quintessential spring flowers of the Netherlands: one bulb produces one sturdy stem with a large, colourful flower. Use them in borders, flower boxes, pots on the patio and as cut flowers in the vase. Bulb size 8/9 indicates how many centimetres the bulbs measure in circumference; a larger bulb contains more reserves for blooming.

Planting and care

Plant the bulbs 8–10 cm deep with the tip facing up, in well-drained soil. In a pot, you can plant tulips in layers (lasagna method): this way the pot blooms for weeks on end. Do make sure to provide a hole in the bottom. Also read our tips on watering and the correct location.
