Tulip (Tulipa praestans) mix blooms in mixed colours from March through April. With 25 bulbs in this pack, you can fill a group of approximately 50 × 50 cm. Tulips are the quintessential spring flowers of the Netherlands: one bulb produces one sturdy stem with a large, colourful flower. Use them in borders, planters, pots on the patio and as cut flowers in the vase. The bulbs have a size of 8/9: the circumference of the bulb in centimetres. The larger the bulb, the more vigorous the bloom.

Planting and care

Plant the bulbs 8–10 cm deep with the point facing up, in well-drained soil. Only plant tulips once the soil has cooled, usually from mid-October onwards. This reduces the risk of tulip fire, a fungus that thrives in warm soil. Also read our tips on watering and the correct location.
