Tulips are the quintessential spring flowers of the Netherlands: one bulb produces one sturdy stem with a large, colourful flower. Planting and care

Plant the bulbs 10–15 cm deep with the tip facing upwards, in well-drained soil. In a pot, you can plant tulips in layers (lasagna method): this way, the pot will flower for weeks on end.
